Hey there! I'm Abby,

the founder of Steele my Hart.

As a mother and a fashion enthusiast, i wanted to create playful yet aesthetic, good-quality clothes for mamas wanting to match their minis, without compromising style. 

I love the minimalist vibe but also carry a soft spot for 70’s fashion. So I've combined the two, to create one-of-a-kind, super chic yet functional clothing options with a modern 70's twist that you and your family will live in!

BACK STORY 

​

When I was a child growing up in the 80's

my mum had an eye for style.

She lived through the Woodstock era,

had long straight blonde hair,

wore ultra tight fitting high waist flares,

cork platform shoes & flowy hippie dresses.

She also knew how to sew,

so could create her own designs and

always looked fabulous.

When my big sister and I came along in the late 70's

she created us all matching outfits.

I love looking back to see our

iconic matchy moments

and always hoped one day I would be able to

recreate it with my own child.

 

As I grew up I inherited the passion

for designing my own outfits.

I would draw them and have my mum sew them to make my ideas a reality.

I did this all through primary & high school

and into my adult life.  

As a dancer I delved into costume design

and learnt to sew myself.

My costumes always sparked attention

leaving a lasting impression.

I travelled the world as a professional dancer

so have been lucky enough to experience

fashion across the globe.

Fast forward many years and here we are.

I finally have my own beautiful little girl Steele.

She is such a kind loving soul.

You'll see us modelling from time to time.
